Hello Gardeningtoolreviews,
Maybe a little off topic, however, how soon after spreading out seed over a lawn can you mow again? and how depends?

if have watered 20 minutes to 1 hour each day ..is it okay to use a mower to cut the grass that is there...if usuing a heavy mower? and will the sprouts be damaged of the new grass if cutting with a heavy mower too? (if drive over it slow)

please explain what you can

thanks for your answers!

John Deere ain't what she use
to be!
I bought a 737 Z Track commercial mower for about $9,000.00 and it has been nothing but a piece of junk since I aquired it.
It is 7 years old but only has 206 hours before it needed approximately $1,800.00 worth of work on it!
It has only been used at my residence and was told by the sales people at John Deere in Zolfo Springs Florida where I bought it that " It shouldn't need a thing until it has if not 3,500 hours on it, 5,000 hours".
I understood it would need regular maintenance which it has had more often than required in the manuel it came with.
It turns out besides having to replace the belts & blades a second time, the vacuum pump ( about a $1100.00 Part) was shot.
The problem, it appears, stems from the assembly of the mower new. The engine was never bolted down tight .
The disguesting thing to me is I had the mower picked back up when almost brand new by John Deere in Zolfo Springs for trouble at that time of which do they not only show no record but Zolfo claims John Deere sends the mower already assembled and John Deere Company blames the local dealer.
Bottom line is my old Murray $200.00 riding lawn mower lasted longer than my $9,000.00 John Deere COMMERCIAL junk!

I wrote an article about the quality of # JS26 John Deere lawnmower. The damn thing fell apart on me. It was not the lawnmower fault. The mower in question was damaged at Lowes and they said it was new and never been used. They did refund the money but I ended going to Home Depot and buying one that was not damaged. The Lowes in New Tampa was the one that sold damaged goods. The salesman name was Juan. Beware of this store. i would recommend Home Depot.

I just purchased a John Deere lawnmower model # JS26 today. It was nice mowing the yard with this mower. Plus Lowes gave me an outstanding price. I was able to buy the display mower ( new , never used) for $209.00. The regular price would have been $349.00. The salesman at Lowes was very knowledgeable and made sure I knew every detail of the mower.

I have a Toro lawn mower with a 6.5 hp Tecumseh engine that I bought 12 May 2003. It still has the same spark plug and starts on the first pull. It does not use oil and I don't have any tread on the front drive wheels, so you can tell I don,t have a small yard. It is head and shoulders over any mower I have ever had. At this rate I don't know when I will have to buy a new one; but I hope I'll be able to find one with a Tecumseh engine.

Thank you for building such a quality product.

Bought one of these Flymo mowers two weeks ago and love it! It means I can get my grass cut very quickly and return back to the football after half time! It’s got a large grass collection box, so often I will empty it when I am next in the shed – although probably not the best idea I have had, but it suits me. I got the glide master 360 and is one of the best ones they do as it even compacts the grass into a square shaped block so that there is less emptying needed. How nifty is that! Flymo lawn mowers are certainly good as far as I’m concerned.

You simply cannot go wrong with the bog standard basic trimmer from Flymo. I’m laughing because I paid so little for the strimmer and it does such a great job! It really is worth its money, for the amount you have to pay. I pay less than £24 and it just goes on and on. It cuts regularly under bushes and hedges and you can even turn it around to roll it along the edge of your lawn when you want a nice and neat edge. It comes with a 12 metre cable. I will certainly buy one of these again next time.

I have got the envoy 36 electric Hayter mower and couldn’t imagine life without it. I’ve only got a small lawn but this mower makes light work of it and means that I can get back to doing the one thing I love doing more than anything else, and that is relaxing with a nice refreshing drink in the garden enjoying the summer. It may only be one of the cheapest ones that Hayter do (I paid around £170 for mine) but really I cannot begin to tell you how good it is. I like the fact that it really does take grass up very well compared to other mowers which leave little bits lying around. That in itself is worth the price.

For as far back as I can remember, my father always used Qualcast. He used to have one that you pushed and needed no electric. It went on for ages, and the idea of Qualcast has really just stuck in my mind ever since. Now with my own lawn I also use Qualcast, but prefer something a little bit more civilized. I have the Elan 32 which is still a cylinder mower like my fathers push mower was but it is electric and even has a rear stripe roller to make it look good afterwards. It comes with an electrical cable that is 15 metres in length and has a large grass box that connects on to it.

With this model being compact it is great for cutting under bushes and going right up to walls, which you have to admit is a real pain in the neck if you have to go round after, strim it, then collect the cuttings. I can guarantee you will never go wrong when you buy a very well respected and trusted name known as Qualcast lawn mowers.
